I absolutely detest the mere idea of jogging or doing any exercise just for the sake of getting fit, so it was a joy to find my cardio fitness improve without even trying. Stealth fitness!
I started from the very beginning, having never really run before and now I am running a full 30 minutes. I just wish there was another app for when you have completed this program. I continue to use the last run every time I go out for a run. Would recommend this to anyone.
I am so glad that I found this app! Its made such a difference for me, keeps me motivated and on track every week! I have one run left in week 6, and feel fantastic about my progress so far. Ive just signed up for my first 5 k marathon in a few weeks and feel very confident that I will be ready to concur my goal! Thanks "Get Running!!!"

A more complex app would have put me off. Now, this one has just the right amount of prodding and gives me the info I need when I need: when to run and when to walk/stop. I just wish the timer would not stop when I go back to a different app (to switch music for instance).

Up front: I have no affiliation with anybody involved with this app. I bought it on a whim, started with the coachs prompts to do 1-minute jogs (spaced apart with 90-second walks), took to the program like a fish to water and -- nine weeks/levels later -- I have completed my 30-minute running target this week, no problem at all. It just works -- beginning to end. Its amazing what the human body can do with this well-thought-out quality of coaching and encouragement. I had never thought myself a runner, and this app proved me happily wrong. Sure, the program starts easily -- walk/trot, walk/trot... But keep going and your strength, enthusiasm and enjoyment builds in steady increments -- with lots of off-days to recover. Its just the right blend of activity and rest to make you say, "Yeah, I can do this," and discover that you can ... reach the goal of a half-hour run in just over two months of steadily-increasing, confidence-building exercise. It worked a charm, and you can use the app while easily playing your own music (I like to listen to comedy/talk podcasts -- but you might prefer rhythmic music). At regular intervals, with the apps super-encouraging and professional human voice cuts in with encouraging updates on your time and -- joy of joys -- when you get to slow to a walk, stretch and go home, head held high. It was just what I needed. Get the app and get off the couch. Later, sitting back down on that couch -- after a wonderfully-guided run -- will feel like a reward for a good job done. Get running, get fit and get proud of your achievement.
Ive tried a few C25K apps and Get Running is the best.
I love this app. The prompts are cheerful. They are super encouraging. I love the voice for the prompts.The timing seems to be just right. I also love that you can add more than one runner so I can use this app with my husband. The progression of the runs really worked for me. I just finished week 7 and will be running my first 5K in 2 weeks ! Get this app and start running !
This app really works. I was a complete sedentary person, but completed the program (took way longer than 9 weeks) and two years later am still running. Never would have thought that would be me! Its a really motivating system. Looking back after a couple years of running and that first 20 minute run is still one of the hardest things Ive ever done. Persevere and it is worth it!
Not complicated at all! Easy to use. Got me running! Does the thinking for you! You just have to listen and concentrate on your running. Starts out at a slow pace and builds you up.
Im 38 years old and Ive never run before! Im on week 7 and Ive easily been able to follow this program even though every week I was sure I wouldnt be able to do it!This is a great app. It got me running and kept me on a schedule. Simple to use. Buy it now!!
Theres these new things out called PodCasts. People listen to them. Your app is great, but it needs an option for no prompts. Its really annoying to have the voice over talk for a full minute right over a punchline in a podcast.
If you are even tiny bit serious about starting running it will get you to that goal
I downloaded this app because of the reviews. I wanted to get running but the options for apps were overwhelming. This one earned every single star. It has a user friendly interface and a well set up program that lets me adapt it to my needs (Im a shift worker so I cannot always run at a set time). I highly recommend it to everyone!

Its a great running app, you can restart it if you fall off the program wagon, and its easy to follow, Ive had for 2 yrs!
